Disappointment

I really wanted to like Seth Rogan as a person. I like seeing people act who did not get their part because of their looks. I'm not saying he's a good actor and I'm not saying he's a bad actor. But I wonder how well he'd be known if he didn't star in movies he helped write and/or produce. But I digress.

He appeared on The Daily Show earlier this month, and Joe & I happened to miss that episode but caught it recently on a repeat. We decided that he is a total loser. And I'm not saying that because he dropped out of high school or because he smokes pot but because of how unintelligent he is in his interview and the "advice" he gave to kids.

I just realized that I have two friends who know the Cridds (you and another blogger friend). Do you also happen to know Kylee and Eric Davis? --Jenny

Sorry, I don't.

You know I think it's part of Seth Rogan's personality to just be flippant about things. Not that I condone it, but I think it's part of his schtick.

While "Knocked Up" had some pretty hilarious moments, it was also really oppressive in regards to attitudes towards women, and ultimately I don't think it was representative as to who most women are. But what else is new in Hollywood?

Well, it's one thing to say he does it and try to justify his actions that way, but to try to encourage other people to follow in his footsteps by dropping out of school and smoking more pot just shows how much of a loser he is.

And yeah, there are a lot of double standards and horrible representations of what a woman is or should be thanks to the media. And if they think they don't influence girls, they are only fooling themselves.
